This Privacy Policy describes how Lyncvo Inc. ("Lyncvo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website, mobile applications, NFC products, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, password, and optional profile details (job title, company, phone, website, location, photo)
  • Payment information: billing address and payment card details (processed by Stripe โ€” we do not store card numbers)
  • Profile content: bio, links, photos, and other content you add to your public profile
  • Shipping information: delivery address for Physical Product orders
  • Communications: messages you send to us via email or support channels
  • Team information: names and email addresses of team members you invite

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: device type, operating system, and browser type
  • Log data: IP address (hashed for analytics), access times, pages viewed, and referring URLs
  • NFC tap events: timestamp, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address when someone taps your card
  • Usage data: features used, profiles created, links clicked, and session duration
  • Cookies: see Section 6

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Payment processors (Stripe, Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm): transaction status and billing information
  • CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive): account connection status when you authorize integration
  • Social media platforms: if you choose to connect your social accounts to your profile

1.4 Lead Capture Information

If a visitor submits their contact information through the lead capture form on your public profile, that information is shared directly with the profile owner. Lyncvo stores this data to provide lead management features. Visitors who submit their information should review the profile owner's privacy practices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process payments and fulfill Physical Product orders
  • Operate and improve the Service
  • Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, tap notifications, lead notifications)
  • Send service communications (security alerts, policy updates)
  • Provide analytics about your profile's performance
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • With your consent, send marketing communications about new features or products

What we never do

  • Sell your personal information to third parties
  • Use your data to train AI or machine learning models
  • Display advertising or share data with advertisers

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 Public Profile Information

Your Lyncvo profile page is publicly accessible. Information you choose to display on your profile is visible to anyone who visits your profile URL. You control what appears through your account settings.

3.2 Service Providers

We share information with vendors who help us operate the Service:

  • Stripe, Inc. โ€” payment processing
  • Resend, Inc. โ€” transactional email delivery
  • Microsoft Azure / AWS โ€” cloud hosting and storage
  • Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm โ€” installment payment processing

These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.

3.3 Business Transfers

If Lyncvo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you via email before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, prevent wrongdoing, protect the personal safety of users, or protect against legal liability.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account:

  • Your profile page is immediately deactivated and no longer publicly accessible
  • Your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where required by law
  • Tap events and analytics data are anonymized rather than deleted
  • Order records are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@lyncvo.com.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest
  • Hashed IP addresses in analytics data
  • Bcrypt password hashing with cost factor 12
  • Automatic rotation of authentication tokens
  • Regular security audits
  • Employee access controls and training

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Service:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the Service to function (authentication, session management). Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the Service. You may opt out via your browser settings.
  • Preference cookies: Remember your settings and preferences.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Account Information

You may update or correct your account information at any time through your account settings. You may delete your account by contacting privacy@lyncvo.com.

7.2 Marketing Communications

You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or by contacting us at privacy@lyncvo.com. Transactional emails (order confirmations, security alerts) will continue regardless.

7.3 Data Access and Portability

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting privacy@lyncvo.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact privacy@lyncvo.com and we will delete it promptly.

9. International Users and GDPR

9.1 Data Transfers

Lyncvo is based in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

9.2 EU/EEA/UK Users โ€” GDPR Rights

If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR:

9.3 Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

  • Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the Service
  • Legitimate interests: Analytics, security, and service improvement
  • Consent: Marketing communications and optional features
  • Legal obligation: Tax records, fraud prevention, legal compliance

9.4 California Users โ€” CCPA

California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. 10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or by posting a notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
